AI Transparency & Fair Use
XpertDirect Platform
Last updated: June 2026
At XpertDirect, we believe AI should help people collaborate more effectively — not replace human judgment or make decisions about individuals.
This page explains how AI is used on the XpertDirect platform, what it does, and what it does not do.
1. Why We Use AI
XpertDirect uses AI technology to help companies and Specialists collaborate more efficiently by structuring technical information and identifying relevant expertise.
AI is used to:
- Structure information contained in CVs voluntarily uploaded by Specialists
- Assist clients in creating structured project descriptions
- Identify skills, technologies, industries, and application areas
- Recommend Specialists whose experience may match a project's technical requirements
AI is used only to assist with structuring and discovery of technical information provided by users.
2. What Our AI Does NOT Do
XpertDirect's AI systems do not make employment decisions.
The platform's AI does not:
- Automatically hire or reject candidates
- Make automated employment decisions
- Replace human evaluation of Specialists
- Profile individuals based on personal characteristics
- Use sensitive personal data
- Monitor external platforms or collect data without user submission
All collaboration decisions are made directly between users of the platform.
3. Human Oversight
AI outputs generated by XpertDirect are always subject to human review and control.
Users retain full control over:
- The CVs they upload
- The project specifications they create
- The Specialists they choose to contact or collaborate with
AI recommendations are assistive suggestions only. Final decisions are made by the platform users.
4. Skills-First Matching Approach
XpertDirect's matching systems are designed to prioritize technical skills and project experience rather than personal characteristics.
Matching focuses on:
- Technologies and programming languages
- Engineering tools and platforms
- Industry experience
- Application domains
- Project and work-package experience
This skills-first approach helps reduce bias and improves the relevance of technical matches.
5. Client Confidentiality
XpertDirect recognizes that project descriptions may contain confidential technical or commercial information.
To protect client confidentiality:
- Project information is processed only for the purpose of matching relevant expertise
- Access to project details is restricted to authorized platform users
- Sensitive information is not used for external training or public datasets
- Secure infrastructure and access controls protect client data
Users remain responsible for ensuring that any information uploaded to the platform complies with their own confidentiality obligations.
6. Privacy & Data Protection
XpertDirect processes personal data in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
Key safeguards include:
- Secure encrypted data transmission
- Access control and authentication mechanisms
- Logical account-level data isolation
- Processing limited to the purposes described in this policy
Specialists control the CVs and information they upload and may update or delete their data at any time.
Full details are available in our Privacy Policy.
7. Responsible AI Principles
XpertDirect follows several core principles when developing and using AI systems.

We clearly explain how AI is used on the platform.
Human Control
AI assists users but does not make decisions about individuals.
Fairness
Matching focuses on technical skills and experience rather than personal characteristics.

XpertDirect's AI functionality is designed to operate within the limited-risk category under the EU Artificial Intelligence Act.
Our platform implements:
- Transparency regarding AI use
- Human oversight of AI outputs
- User control over AI-assisted processes
XpertDirect does not deploy high-risk AI systems that automatically evaluate or rank individuals for employment decisions.
9. AI Fair Matching Principles
At XpertDirect, our goal is to help companies and Specialists collaborate based on technical expertise and project needs.
To support this, we design our AI systems according to the following principles:
A. Skills-First Matching
XpertDirect prioritizes technical skills, experience, and project relevance when recommending Specialists for projects.
Matching focuses on:
- technologies and tools

Personal characteristics are not used as matching criteria.
B. No Automated Hiring Decisions

C. Human Oversight
Users always remain in control of platform decisions.
Clients decide:
- which Specialists to contact
- whether to collaborate
- how to structure the engagement
Specialists decide whether they wish to participate in any project discussions.
D. Responsible Use of Data
XpertDirect processes only the information that users voluntarily provide to the platform.
This may include:
- CVs uploaded by Specialists
- project descriptions submitted by clients
Sensitive personal characteristics are not used as part of the matching process.
E. Privacy by Design
Our systems are designed according to privacy-by-design principles, including:
